The progenitors of my art, my analytical father, a Certified Public Accountant, and my hysterical, colorful mother, provide the bases of my work and life. I integrate these parts of me using line, color, form space, shadow, and depth. I explore and express these basic elements in watercolor, oils and acrylics, fabric, thread, clay, foam cardboard, and found materials. After a long, highly verbal personal and professional life, I found a new way to see and say who I am in my world and how to order it. Many of my works, unified pieces stitched together by design or materials, reflect a recurring dream I ha as a child: making something whole, useable, and functional rom shards or pieces of things.
