For this Christmas season 2022, we are pleased to present “An Emerald Isle Christmas” with Danú, one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles of today, on Friday, December 9, 6:00 pm, at our Beacon Hill music hall.
Music, song, and dance are a vital part of joyous community celebrations across Ireland throughout the holiday season. This performance offers a taste of these extraordinary centuries-old experiences.
Since its founding in 1995, Danú has delighted audiences worldwide, with six players on fiddle, flute, accordion, melodion, guitar, bouzouki and tin whistle—and vocalist Nell Ni Chróinín (since 2016), winner of prestigious awards in Ireland. Danú’s program, announced from the stage, will include some carols familiar to us, but mainly it will introduce us — through storytelling, poetry, and Irish banter — to what a traditional Christmas is like in Ireland today.
We are accepting reservations starting today, one month before the concert date December 9. The concert will be held in our small, intimate Beacon Hill music hall which seats 85 people, and we expect to be full—so plan now to attend, and make your reservation early!
You can reserve your seat(s) simply by sending an email to with your request and the names of ALL the attendees. (We only hold seats for specific individuals.) We ask that you do not reserve a seat unless you are sure the person will be attending, so that others are not turned away.
There will be an intermission in this concert, and refreshments will be served.
