Public Gallery: Megon Burkit

Artist Megon Burkit is featured in the Pocono Arts Council Public Gallery at NCC Pocono at the Keystone Building! Her solo show consists of paintings of the impressions of nature and will be on display through the end of September 2024.

Artist Statement: 

“My name is Megon and I’m currently working with very fluid acrylic paint.

My art expresses a feeling or aura rather than a photographic image. I try to capture the feeling of peace that you feel when you see the ripples on a pond or the feeling of power and grace in nature. I want to capture the sensation of natural wonder. The fluidity of the paint helps to express the fluidity and also the fragility of life’s journey. It explores the duality of the membrane between known and unknown, beauty and danger, control and helplessness. I find beauty in all things and I hope you enjoy this journey to explore that beauty through my art.”
