Public Gallery: Jean Benfante

Artist Jean Benfante is featured in the Pocono Arts Council Public Gallery at Pocono Eye Associates! Her solo show consists of oil pastel drawings of nature and will be on display through the end of September 2024.

Artist Statement: 
“My landscape work in oil crayon reflects my love of strong color and dramatic lighting. Compositional focus is centered on a special event occurring in nature, giving the viewer an
“ahh” moment, allowing eyes to linger on the big feature a bit longer. Often in real time, light does its amazing thing to the natural world, then is gone as you blink your eyes.”
