Public Gallery: Courtney Natt

January 2 - March 31

Artist Courtney Natt is featured in the Pocono Arts Council Public Gallery at the Hughes Eastern Monroe Public Library! Their solo show consists of paintings that explore different styles and topics and will be on display through the end of March 2024.

Courtney Natt is an accomplished artist and entrepreneur dedicated to inspiring artistic expression. Driven by a profound desire to bring people together through art, Courtney envisions a world where artistic expression transcends boundaries of race, religion, sexual orientation, and beyond. As the esteemed owner of “NattOnCanvas” and co-founder of Create & Be Art and Cultural Studio, located in the heart of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Courtney brings her dreams to life. With relentless dedication, she curates an environment where creativity flourishes, and individuals are encouraged to embrace their true artistic potential.

Artist Statement:
“Art creates a safe space for me to heal. The brushstrokes and the smells of the oils allow me to meditate, observe, and let thoughts pass through without judgment. The process of creating the art itself becomes more enjoyable than the outcome. In this exhibition, I reveal a few of my newest pieces from a new series titled ‘The Evolution of Natt,’ which deals with healing past trauma through painting family photos. Alongside these, I showcase some of my past favorites, such as ‘The Wizard of Woo’ and ‘Grace Jones in Emerald City,’ created between late 2021 and 2023.”
