The Pocono Arts Council is pleased to announce the 2019 PA Partners in the Arts (PPA) Grants. The PPA program is a partnership initiative between local arts organizations and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), a state agency. PPA is administered in the northeastern PA region by the Pocono Arts Council and is available to non-profit organizations and individual artists conducting arts programming in the counties of Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike and Wayne. Since beginning the program in 1997, over $2,225,627 has been granted in the five- county region. This year 36 PPA Project Stream applications received grants totaling $46,867. In addition, 25 PPA Program Stream grants will also be awarded $72,428 in early 2020.
These Awards will be presented on Thursday, November 21, in 701 Main St., Suite 402, STROUDSBURG at 5:30 PM. An Artists’ Reception for Celebrate Monroe Exhibition will begin at 4PM. PPA Project Stream and Program Stream Awards will also be recognized in Scranton as part of the Lackawanna County Arts & Culture’s recognition of grant awards, date TBA. The 2019 PPA recipients are:
