Fall Greetings, Members and Friends of the Arts Community.
Make plans now to join us for the 7th annual Mac and Cheese Bake-off, Nov. 10 from 3-6pm at Renegade Winery in downtown Stroudsburg. This is one of our most popular (and delicious) fundraisers.
As many of you know, the Pocono Arts Council has served the community faithfully for more than 45 years. Over the past six months, our board of directors and staff have continued to take a closer look at our delivery of programs and services. After the office moved to 701 Main Street, and it was announced that we would no longer be the grant partner for the region, we have determined that our efforts going forward will focus on establishing increased partnerships in the community.
For an update on our accomplishments in 2019, plan to attend the Annual Members’ Meeting and PPA Grant Award Ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 5pm. This year’s event will take place at the council office at 701 Main Street, Suite 402. We will feature an art exhibition, highlighting Monroe County employee artists and artisans, as a way to say thank you to our county for the office space. Read the full newsletter for a look at the many ways we are establishing partnerships in the community-at-large.
As always, thank you for your support in the past, in the present and in the future. Stay tuned for announcements regarding next steps and new opportunities as we continue to fulfill our mission: providing leadership, service, education, and promotion of the cultural arts. Remember to “Like us” on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!
For the love of the arts,
The Pocono Arts Council extends its sympathies to the families and friends of Mary Frances Bilodeau who passed away in September, and Norbert Scalon, in November. Mary and Norbert were long time arts council members.
