A Celebration of our Natural & Cultural Heritage of Wood
On hiatus for two years, the Festival of Wood, sponsored by the US Forest Service, the Pocono Arts Council, and Grey Towers Heritage Association at Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford, PA returns in 2022 in tandem with National Public Lands Day.
The Festival of Wood was designed to heighten awareness around the importance and prevalence of wood in our society. Demonstrations, educational activities, and woodcrafts are just a few of the ways we share the natural and cultural heritage of wood.
This year the Festival takes place during National Public Lands Day, which “celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits.” That’s a pretty sweet pairing of events if you ask us..
We hope you’ll join us for the 2022 Festival of Wood!
