I hope you are making plans to attend our Annual Members Meeting and Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts Grant Awards Ceremony on Thursday, December 6 at the Pocono Cinema in East Stroudsburg. As the Pocono Arts Council rounds out its first year under new leadership, we are looking forward to celebrating our accomplishments with our members and friends.
The event will start at 5:30 sharp. Pocono Cinema, along with our many other community partners, are essential ingredients in fostering a lively, active arts community, and this is something I have noticed as an overriding theme during the last several months of my tenure as the new director at PoconoArts. We all help each other, and I have appreciated the collegial nature and cooperation of like-minded organizations throughout our region.
One final note, please respond generously to our annual end-of-year campaign. The arts council does wonderful things in our five-county service area, and in order to continue, we need your help more than ever. I am looking forward to 2019 with a sense of optimism.
I’d like to thank our Board of Directors and staff for their support and vision. Thanks also to our dedicated group of volunteers, with special recognition to Alyssa Koeck who recently received an M.S. in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy & Practice in Philadelphia. She reached out to offer her assistance to the Pocono Arts Council, and we appreciate her help in developing this year’s end-of-year campaign.
Wishing everyone the happiest of holiday seasons, and we’ll see you around the gallery. Thank you for your support
of the Arts!
