This month, we feature member Iraina R. Caramelli who is an ongoing art studio instructor at the Pocono Arts Council. Recently, she taught classes for The Buck Hill Art Association during its “Art Week Classes” event held July 16-20, 2018. Iraina taught both “Drawing with Conte Crayon” and “Soft Pastels En Plein Air.”
Iraina graduated form Parsons School of Design and attended Pratt Institute and New York University in New York City. She is an ongoing private instructor in painting and drawing. Previously, she was an art director at the Pocono Lake Preserve from 2007-2012 and conducted a Cultural Arts Program for Arrowhead Lakes Community from 1994-1996 and served on the Pocono Arts Council Gallery Committee from 1991-1995. Iraina is represented by the Morgan Gallery of Fine Arts, Pocono Lake, PA, and she is listed in “Who’s Who of American Women.”
Iraina works in a variety of mediums including mixed media, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, alkyd, and pastels. She actively teaches Intermediate Watercolor on Sundays from 1-4pm and Specifically Charcoals on Wednesdays from 1-3pm in the studio at the Pocono Arts council.
