The Pocono Arts Council begins its new fiscal year on October 1, 2018. After careful review of the current budget, in order to maintain the current level of programming, there are two options: cut expenses and generate more income.
Following a two-month strategic planning process, the Board of Directors has voted to institute a few changes in the new fiscal year. Beginning October 1, 2018, the ARTSPACE Gallery will be closed on Mondays. Art intake days will shift to Tuesdays from 1-6pm.
We are also launching the Annual Fund Campaign 2018 with the goal of generating $25,000 in operating funds by year-end. We encourage everyone, individuals and businesses, to participate. No donation is too small. Please consider making a contribution, at a level comfortable to you, so we can continue to support the arts in our community.
If you are a business owner that appreciates what arts and culture brings to our community, we welcome you as a sponsor. Specifically, the November exhibition in the ARTSPACE Gallery is entitled, “Art in the Age of Digital Technology.” We hope this topic will inspire the participation of a whole new group of artists and students in a non-traditional medium.
To encourage participation, the submission fee will be waived for high school and college students. To offset costs, we are seeking two to three corporate sponsors willing to donate $250 each. You may signup online to Sponsor an Exhibition.
Thank you for your support of the Arts!
P.S. Thanks also to volunteer board members making calls to people who we would love to
