The Pocono Arts Council’s Board of Directors has recently completed a strategic planning process. Board members have been working hard exploring our rather tight budget and will be looking at cost saving measures to ensure we are well-positioned in the future to promote the cultural arts in our community. Stay tuned for the announcement of an Annual Fund drive launching in October. Our goal is to reach $25,000 by year-end.
Be sure to stop by ARTSPACE Gallery and take a look at two new and exciting exhibitions during the fall season featuring Architecture in September and The Art of Digital Technology in November. We are also looking forward to the very popular Mac and Cheese Bake-off Competition to be held in November.
Last month, we announced a new concept called the “Pocono Mountains of Art – Open Studio Tour.” This will be a self-guided tour of select Pocono Arts Council members’ studios where visitors can see how artists create art and fine crafts and will have the opportunity to make purchases in a relaxed setting. The dates for this will now be April 27-28, 2019.
